Mulchfest

This year (yesterday), Stella got a trip to the Metro Mulch Facility to celebrate "Gotcha Day." She was a big hit there, probably because she didn't mind all of the heavy machinery and dump trucks. She's a big fan of mulch too although usually she doesn't lie in it so much as she waters it.  She's been spending a lot of time prancing around in our soon-to-be-new yard with her giant tree-limb-type stick. We don't officially have a fence on the east side yet but she hasn't noticed.

I'm at a loss for words. Mainly because my "yard work phase" has already come and gone. (All I can think of when looking at this photo is the heat and the sweat and the dirt sticking to the sweat.) It looks like you have help though.

I'm waiting for October to ready my yard for winter. That's when the work won't be so sweaty.

Hi, Stella! You have fun with that mulch!

Oh, boy, this reminds me of the time years ago when we had 3 labs (mom and pups) and I decided to make a rose garden. After filling up the truck with cow manure compost, etc. I got down to eye level with the dogs in the middle of all that muck and water and mess. Never seen them happier. It was like, "Finally, you've evolved. We knew you could do it!" :)
