Meow Mix

It's been four weeks. The kittens discovered their feet a couple of days ago and now they're racing around my guest room with that look in their eye. You know the look I mean right?

The one that says: "I bet I can run up that wall. Watch."

You can see a little glimmer of it in the photo above.

One of them hissed at Stella the other day and now she's keeping a fair distance which, at this point may be for the best. All she'd have to do to injure one would be step on it, so I've sort of blockaded them in. Mama can come and go as she pleases but they won't be able to escape for at least another two weeks. Knock on wood.

I'm knocking, real hard, on that wood for you! If they can climb walls they can go anywhere!

I'm not a real cat person but those kitties are adorable. If I could deal with a litter box I'd want one!

I know what you mean about the litter box. The best way to deal with one is to have it in a basement or have indoor/outdoor cats. My original cat Gigi, doesn't use it, she prefers to go outside.

As a dog I am not a big fan of cats but yours sure are pretty

I AM a fan of cats, and these are top-of-the-line cutie pies.

The speckledy girl is precious! I can see the wheels turning behind all those bright little eyes. It looks like the kitties' "adventure radar" is already turned on.

My entire life I was a dog person, until my Little Dog died at age 23, and I swore "NO MORE PETS" because having one die is more than I could handle. Then a stray had three kittens in my back yard, and they needed me. Needless to say I adopted all three and they were with me 9, 12, and 19 years. Best darn cats on the face of the earth!
