I dropped Stella off at the hospital at 7:30 this morning (still no Xanax). Her surgeon called me at 2:30 to say that she was doing fine. I can pick her up on Friday. Thanks to everyone, for the kind thoughts sent her way from every direction.
(Note: Welcome those tweeters who searched for "Xanax" and ended up falling for my dog(s). We love that. bienvenidos.)

Great pic. Dammit.......
I just stumbled on your blog, but I am already hooked! I have a rescued Catahoula (with maybe some pittie) that I love more than anything, so I am a sucker for spotted rescued dogs.
I hope beautiful Miss Stella's surgery goes fantastic and that she has an easy recovery. You and she will be in our thoughts and prayers!
Thanks PW, Ashley, people ask me all the time if Stella is a Catahoula. I didn't even know what one was before she came along. Thanks for checking us out.

seriously great picture!!
Yay for Stella! And yay for you too, Susan! When this is all over, you girls can celebrate by running wildly on a beach. :)
My heart caught in my throat when I saw Stella's collar. I know you have to keep it while she's at the doc's, but I have memories with empty collars. Maggie will sleep better tonight knowing her virtual buddy's surgery went well.
p.s. Is the Stella's Patella's fund growing any? There's only 4 days left for us to get there. I'll do $30 if someone will match it. It's a dare! :)
I love that picture! And I think Stella is such a pretty, unique dog.
